Applications open March 1 each year.
They stay open when we reach capacity, granted on a first come, first served basis. Approved applications receive their requests during September — childhood cancer awareness month.

Who can apply
- You live in Colorado.
- Whoever fills in the form is 18 or older.
- Your family is facing, or has faced, a childhood cancer diagnosis — any type.
- A first childhood cancer diagnosis must come prior to the age of 18 years old. Children who were diagnosed prior to turning 18 but are now 18 or older may still apply. Adults 18 and older who are diagnosed with a form of childhood cancer are unfortunately not applicable.
- You are welcome even if you have lost your child. You and your family still deserve healing.
- It does not matter how long ago treatment ended. Any amount of time is fine.
- Someone else may apply on your behalf, as long as they can give us everything the form asks for.
- You agree to our terms and fill in every field that applies to you.
What happens after you apply
- You get a confirmation. Our team sends one as soon as your application is reviewed and deemed a match for our program.
- We decide by August 1. Every family who applied hears back either way, with next steps.
- Requests are granted in September. We know March 1 to August 1 is a long wait. That time lets us source what families asked for and try to raise more, so we can help as many childhood cancer families as possible.
In 2027, our inaugural year, we are providing Colorado State and county parks passes, and reimbursements for passes already bought. The FAQ answers most of what families ask us next.
